Several months ago work started on the development of new software used to run this site. (a Photoshop Lightroom plug-in module set developed by The TurningGate CE4).

With the trend towards mobile and tablet devices the new software “makes it all better than it is now”.

All of the modules have now been completed and I have been using them in a local development system.

The time has now come to take the leap and move over to the new software …

The first stage is to re-build all of the photo galleries – this makes future maintenance easier and also improves the experience for mobile device users.

As there are hundreds of galleries and thousands of photos this may take some time.

When that step has been completed the overall appearance of the site will be re-worked – initially keeping the look of the site almost unchanged.

The site will be taken down while this all takes place – it may well take a few days to restore “normal service”
