Bedford Saw Woodturning Club

Due to the Corona virus pandemic all club meetings are suspended with effect from 16/Mar/2020 until further notice.

The "Woodturning Club" is a facility provided by the Bedford Saw & Tool Co. a family business with Tony, Barry and Anne Rayner.

There is no formal membership - anyone can come along. The facility is available at the Lathe Workshop on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month.

There are normally around 40 members there. They range from newcomers to woodturning to very experienced turners. Many have taken up woodturning as a retirement pastime - something creative, and a forum in which to meet people and make long term friends. We have several accomplished lady turners and several very young members (under 30).

Roy Boulton, Allen Atkins and several other experienced turners teach and demonstrate each Saturday. The Saturday meetings and demonstrations are open to all. There is a light-hearted and friendly atmosphere with a lot of friendly banter, help, and the sharing of ideas.

The slideshow gives a feel for the club. The photo galleries show much more...

This website exists only for the purpose of showing the efforts of those who contribute to the meetings and serves as a source of inspiration for those with an interest in woodturning and related activities.
