Gary started with spindle turning - handling the skew chisel. He then demo'd the turning of a Marie Rose like Salt & Pepper shaker, a spinning top, a yoyo and the techniques for a spiral stemmed goblet.

Power carver demo. Items brought for display included - boxes, Saturns Rings, platters, hollow form vessels and fruit. Roy turned a Table Lamp. High quality finish applied to coloured items done earlier.

Boxes of all shapes and sizes. Some with finials, with perforations, with threaded lids, with spiralling. Some coloured some textured or inlayed. Plus other items.

The result was one of the largest and most varied collections ever seen... and also brought for display - platters, chairs, vases and a mushroom.

The theme for this week was The Tazza. This was very well supported and demonstrated a wide creative diversity as did the other items brought for display.

Coloured plates, segmented plates, plates with acryllic over flowers, plates with Spiralling on the edges… The spiralling tool was demonstrated and many had a go with it… many pieces showed expertise in its use.

Combining the output of two meetings - ear ring stands plus vases.

A wide variety. Exotic woods, highly spalted and aged woods, different textures and finishes. Apples, pears, grapes, lemon and miniatures were all brought for display.

Mick started with a colourful plate - demonstrating the Arbortec, spiralling tool. Next a petal shaped goblet/open shape was created in Yew; finally a coloured platter demo'd masking techniques and piercings.
