340 Turning Club Meeting - 14/Jan/12

Several pieces initiated a lot of discussion.

A souvenir from Fuera Ventura shows what can be done with plywood and a jigsaw and a lot of care.

Bill Foster's Inro - the holder of an Official Seal with ink pad - which hangs from a belt held in place by a Nutsuke.

Allen Atkins brought a piece of Art - a "vase" with colouring and carving.

Colin Brown's segmented candleholder - an exercise in patience...

There were several other worthy pieces shown - fob watches, a clock, pet urns, boxes with inlays, a bloated mouse in cheese and a colourful plate.

Roy demonstrated bowl turning and Allen demonstrated making a long stemmed goblet.
