440 - Turning Club - "Whistle" and "Plate/Dish" themes
On 2nd June - Fixed and Variable pitch whistles were created using bone and wood.
On 9th June - Many plates/dishes - in Oak, Sycamore, Spalted Maple and Bubinga plus Rings, a Needle Case, a Puzzle and a Bud Vase/Bowl display.
Roy Boulton demonstrated the techniques for turning a shallow bowl, an apple and a deep bowl.
On 9th - hands-on tuition on use of the Beading tool and the Hollowing tools culminating in a Hollow Form in Yew.
On 16th there will be a demo by Simon Hope, a visiting professional turner.
