Turning Club - 25/Mar/2017.

Woods shown included Yew, Lignum Vitae, Sycamore, Oak, Hornbeam, Walnut (various), Laburnum, Goncalo Alves, and Cherry.

Pieces showed included - hanging decorations with colouring; a bowl in Poplar (Tulipwood); a highly figured piece in Yew with natural edges; a lidded box in Walnut, another in Turkish Walnut; a goblet in Laburnum; a hinged lid box in Goncalo Alves; a large bowl in well figured Cherry and a hollow form with tall black finial and blown acrylic paint.

Peter Broadhurst created a challenging piece with spiralling Sycamore and Oak segments in layers.
