Turning Club - 28th October 2017.

Woods shown included Elm, Yew, Ash, Cherry, Whitebeam, spalted Beech and Silver Birch, Oak, Horse Chestnut, Boxwood, Beech, Zebrano, Ash and Pear ... and broccoli!

A very challenging Artistic Bowl form by Geoff Endersby from a green root with large fissures; a set of spindles in Ash plus a bird box in Elm and Yew on a stand; two rectangular four cornered and natural edged dishes in Cherry; Trevor Mellor's first pieces - a large Bowl in Yew plus a large flat bottomed dish in spalted Beech with a milliput decorative ring; a 16in diam bowl in Horse Chestnut; a different table lamp with the stem made from Purple Sprouting Broccoli; a dish and a pot from well figured Boxwood; a mallet and a plaque in Beech plus a pomander/tree decoration in Zebrano and Beech; Jan Cranston created a basin/bowl in heavily spalted Silver Birch to match one made and finished by Allen Atkins and Alwyn Moorbey. Bernard Perkins created a large bowl in Ash.
