Turning Club - 20 Apr 2019.

Woods used included - Sycamore, Yew, Pear, Walnut, Holly, Ash, Oak, Ash, Elm, Cherry, Beech, Rowan and Ekki.

Today, many pieces were brought for display. There was a mini competition (7 entrants) to create a Dish/Bowl turned to give an end grain finish. Today it was won by Alwyn Moorbey with Peter Kemp and Colin King in second and third places.

Also included were "lidded boxes" - large and small bowls, dishes, and containers some with threaded lids; dishes with colouring and texturing; a hollow form in Elm and Yew; a four cornered dish in Rowan and a segmented egg on stand plus a pen; also ornamental pieces which could be used as a desk tidy, .
