Turning Club - 16 Mar 2019.

Woods used included - Boxwood, Sycamore, Oak, Yew, Walnut, Grass Tree Root (lily family), Birch, Beech, Mahogany, Ash, Hazel?, Laburnum, plywood, Apple wood, Cherry, Elm, Maple and Masur Birch.

Pieces shown - a mini competition to create a Bud Vase - turned in Yew, Laburnum, Hazel?, plywood, Elm, Boxwood and Walnut; a table lamp with turned lamp shade; a wide rimmed dish in Maple with a textured and coloured rim; cutting boards with segmented patterns in contrasting Mahogany/Beech and Mahogany/Sycamore; a Beech cudgel; apples and a pear; a vase in Oak; a lidded box with decorative hinge; a bowl in Apple wood, a dish in Cherry and a desk tidy/paperweight; a long handled shoe horn in Birch; pens in a pen holder; a clock in an Oak casing and a dish in Cherry.
