Turning Club - 16 Jun 2018.

Woods used - Yew, Oak, Beech, Elm, Cherry, Myrtle, Ash, Laburnum, Staghorn(Sumak), Sycamore, Walnut and Hornbeam.

Pieces shown included a pen in Staghorn(Sumak); an Oak owl; a natural edged dish in spalted Beech; a pedestal bowl; a very thin bowl in Elm with a pierced decorative wave design; a tilted bowl in Oak (offset turning); a display piece with two bud vases in old Yew; candlesticks in Oak; a drinking flask form in Cherry with Myrtle embellishment; a penguin and chick in Oak; a Birch bowl with apple and pear in Ash plus an apple in Laburnum; a light pull with beading in Sycamore; and a wide rimmed bowl with black/red fishnet stocking design on the rim.
