About the Club.
The Woodturning Club is run by the Bedford Saw & Tool Co. a family business with Tony, Barry and Anne Rayner particularly involved in the Club activities.
Members meet at the Lathe Workshop every Saturday. There are normally around 30-40 members there. They range from beginners to woodturning to very experienced turners. We have several accomplished lady turners.
Roy Boulton, Allen Atkins and several other experienced turners teach and demonstrate each Saturday. There is a light-hearted and friendly atmosphere with a lot of friendly banter, help, and the sharing of ideas.
The slideshow gives a feel for the club. The photo galleries show much more...
Those who are interested in finding out more about turning are welcome to come along, and sign-in as guests for upto one month - by that time you will know whether you wish to join or not.
On one Saturday each month there is a demonstration day with a visiting professional turner. These demonstrations are free to club members, non-members are welcome for a small entrance fee.
