Another very busy meeting with lots of items displayed and several visitors.

The theme was to create a salt/pepper shaker based upon the shapes of chess pieces.

The "Rook"/"Castle" was almost universally selected as the chosen chess piece.

Other items displayed included bowls, dishes, goblets, a mallet and a jewellery stand.

Allen Atkins demonstrated turning and finishing a deep bowl and a lidded box with a coin inlayed into the lid.

Roy Boulton meanwhile was most prolific with demonstrations of a dish with texturing, a four cornered dish with beading, a long stemmed goblet with captive rings and a stand-alone finial on a base.

The theme for next week will be to create a Goblet.
