Turning Club - 16/Mar/2013 Simon Hope demo

Simon demonstrated a 3 compartmented "Christmas Tree" shaped box stack, followed by a bowl in purple heart with a wire decorated rim.

He followed with an apple shaped "Box" with the two parts threaded together and including a pewter stem.

Next he created a bowl in sycamore with a contrasting zebrano rim - the rim is secured with a mortice and tenon joint.

Lastly he demonstrated making a whistle.

Throughout he demonstrated techniques for getting a high quality finish 'off the tools'.
