Les started by creating a 'flame' shaped box. The two parts were hollowed and the outside textured, blackened with lacquer, and then coloured with spirit stains.
Next was a bowl which has a textured outside, rim and inner rim; these surfaces were limed with silver liming wax to give a metallic appearance.
He finished with a demonstration of a wafer thin goblet.
Throughout he gave detailed explanations and demonstrations of the tools and tool presentation to achieve the results required.
