Richard Findley demo day - 8/Oct/2011.
Richard demonstration the construction of an apple with particular emphasis on proportions and the shaping of the two ends and achieving a high quality finish.
He then constructed a swagger stick shaft using an extended rest showing techniques to avoid the effects of flexing and to again achieve a high standard of finish.
This was followed by the construction of a table leg which was then fluted using a router.
A bowl with a wide fluted rim was then demonstrated followed by the construction of a baby rattle - forming a perfectly shaped hollow sphere.
There is Reyner family wedding next week so no club meeting. For the following week - 22/Oct/2011 the theme will be "Weird and Wonderful".
