Turning Club - 16/May/2015

Woods shown included - Oak, Padauk, Mahogany, Yew, Maple, Birch, Sycamore, Elm, Cherry, Tulipwood, Purple Heart and Zebrano.

Pieces shown included - Dishes/Platters in Oak, some with colouring, an Oak barrel money box, clocks, bowls, bud vases and vases, natural edged dishes and texturing work.

Allen Atkins demo'd finial turning to finish the colourful pieces started last week and created a Yew hollow form.

Roy Boulton demo'd turning a hollow form in Yew plus a goblet which included spiralling techniques.
