Turning Club - 23-30/May/2015

Woods shown included - Pear, Beech, Iroko, Blue Cedar, Zebrano, Sycamore, Cherry, Teak, Kingwood, Brazilian Tulipwood and Yew.

Pieces shown included - Dishes/Platters in Elm, Beech, and Sycamore. Bowls in Blue Cedar, Cherry and Elm. Goblets in Sycamore and Zebrano; Colouring, plus decorating using pyrography, colourful stones and paints. A bud vase using offset turning, another with a pewter shoulder ring and two hall stands for flowers.

Allen Atkins demo'd finial turning to cap a hollow form in Juniper plus work in progress on another hollow form.

Roy Boulton demo'd turning a large apple plus a pair of spoons.
